This sermon considers the faith of Moses’ parents (cf. Hebrews 11:23). They hid Moses because they “saw that he was a beautiful child” (Exodus 2:2). Stephen said that “Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God” (Acts 7:20). Children are a gift from God and are beautiful in His sight. Their purpose is to serve God (cf. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14). Parents must recognize their children as a gift from God, for God, and raise them in the way they should go (cf. Proverbs 22:6).
