“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? – unless indeed you are disqualified.” – 2 Corinthians 13:5
Continued self-examination is necessary to get to heaven. “The faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3) is the standard by which we must live. Jesus said His word would judge us (cf. John 12:48). If our lives are not molded by God’s word we cannot expect to reach the Promised Land. In order to ensure we are abiding by God’s standard we must transform our minds by His will (cf. Romans 12:2). This requires constant study and meditation (cf. 1 Timothy 4:13, 16; 2 Timothy 2:15; Philippians 4:8).
Are you in the faith? Are you familiar with the faith? Are you examining yourself, and putting yourself to the test? Make sure you “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12)! Don’t fail the test!
