The Lord labeled Job as one “who darkens counsel by words without knowledge” (Job 38:2). To emphasize that man is far too ignorant to question His government, God pointed to the creation and its maintenance. The systems of nature implemented by God and upheld by the word of His power (cf. Hebrews 1:3) are incomprehensible to the human mind.
“From whose womb comes the ice? And the frost of heaven, who gives it birth? The waters harden like stone, and the surface of the deep is frozen.”
Job 38:29-30
Our recent encounter with God’s frigid creation of wintery weather shows His vast power. Great trees that house animals were brought low to the ground with the weight of ice. Our modern way of living was halted due to power outages. Who could create such severe elements with something as simple as water? Yet even water is not simple. Who can explain its existence and design? Who can explain how it hardens like stone, yet returns to its liquid state? Our God is a masterful artist, and a brilliant inventor. His omnipotence should cause us to trust, and tremble!
