In Luke 22:39-46 Jesus is recorded as withdrawing “a stone’s throw” from Peter, James and John to pray. His request was that they watched and prayed with Him. But although they were only a stone’s throw away, their minds were miles and miles away as they slumbered during Jesus’ greatest hour of trial. Christians need to examine themselves that they don’t make the same mistake – seeming to be so close to Jesus, yet so far away.
