When the king of Syria surrounded Dothan with his army, seeking to capture Elisha, the man of God’s servant became frightened. Yet, Elisha had faith in God, and knew they would be protected. So he prayed, “‘Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (2 Kings 6:17). The power and provision of God is prevalent in the life of a Christian. We need only open our eyes to see.
