While Jesus tread the path leading to Calvary for His bitter end some Jewish women wept at the sight of His tortured state. Jesus then looked at them and uttered ominous words, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children…For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?” (Luke 23:28, 31) God does not even spare the righteous, His own children, from fiery trials, so what is in store for the wicked?
