Concerning the necessities to endure trials James wrote, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting” (James 1:5-6). This sermon is an exposition of James 1. By inspiration, James establishes a general principle of obtaining wisdom from God through the request of faith in order to equip the brethren for the endurance of trials.
