In Acts 8, the next step in God’s plan for the spreading of the gospel occurred. It was His will that the gospel would begin at Jerusalem, and spread throughout Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (cf. Acts 1:8). Philip went to Samaria to preach the gospel.
