In reproof of the Pharisees’ unwillingness to believe in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, Jesus used the men of Nineveh and the queen of the South as examples of opposite behavior which would judge and condemn them (cf. Matthew 12:38-42). The queen of Sheba is recorded as traveling great distance to sit at the feet of Solomon (cf. 1 Kings 10:1-13), but “a greater than Solomon is here” (Matthew 12:42). Would the queen of Sheba’s actions condemn our own, or do we take advantage of the access of the vast wisdom of Jesus?
