Sin has separated man from God (cf. Isaiah 59:2). There is a vast chasm keeping us from a most desired fellowship with our Creator. Who can satisfy our needs, and God’s requirements to bridge the gap, thus reconciling men to God? Paul writes, “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).
