After God gave victory over the Philistines to Israel, Samuel raised up a memorial stone called “Ebenezer” – “saying, ‘Thus far the Lord has helped us'” (1 Samuel 7:12). It is imperative that we give God the glory, ensure that we always remember what He has done for us, and acknowledge that we fully depend on Him for all future matters.
